Gatorade Endurance Formula is a specialized sports drink with twice the sodium of Gatorade Thirst Quencher to better replace the electrolytes endurance athletes lose in sweat, in addition it contains carbohydrates to provide fuel to working muscles to help maintain peak performance. It is the sports beverage of choice for the Ironman World Championship, the Ironman 70.3 World Championship, and all Ironman and Ironman 70.3 qualifying races in the United States.
The Gatorade Company is proud of its long-standing relationship with Ironman, which dates back to 1992 and includes title sponsorship of the Ironman World Championship from 1992 through 1995.

Gatorade Endurance Formula is the result of research conducted by the scientists at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute, both in the lab and at elite endurance events like the Ironman World Championship. Since 1988, the scientists at this research and educational facility have studied the effects of exercise, the environment and nutrition on the human body to share current information and expand knowledge on sports nutrition and exercise science that enhance the performance and well-being of athletes.
