Comerford and Bayliss are two of the UK’s most consistent Ironman Pro performers. Comerford has won Ironman Florida four times, as well as a host of other outstanding performances, whilst Stephen’s profile has risen over the past few seasons and is now widely regarded as one of the UK’s top pro Ironman athletes.

Ron Thorne, Race Director of Ironman UK Events comments: “It is always a pleasure to welcome Bella and Stephen to our races. They are consistent performers who represent the UK well in any race they enter.”

For spectators on the day looking to cheer on this home-grown talent, Comerford will be particularly noticeable as she is dressed from head to toe in pink. The four-time Ironman Florida Champion and 2006 World Long Course Champion should prove easy to spot for the supporters out on the course, not just due to the pink attire, but also because she should be leading the women’s race.

Stephen Bayliss first rose to prominence at the 2003 World Long Course Championships in Ibiza where he became the 18-24 World Champion. Since then he has made a steady rise within the Ironman world circuit ending the 2006 season with two fourth place finishes at Ironman Brazil and Ironman Florida.
